I just want to pay tribute (she is not dead) to my dear friend, Amanda Lang, who is now Eldridge.
She has been my friend since 9th grade, at Cajon High School in good ol' San Ber'do.
She once told me I had balls of steel when I planned to give my crush a note confessing my profound love for him.
She sat next to me in French class and surpassed me in all conjugations, sub-conjugations, (what's a conjugation) for class.
Justin and I had the great honor of attending her wedding in March of 2007. Or was it 2008.
And I just want her to know, that yes indeed, she was the first one that told me about Outlander. But when I was in the 10th grade I was not paying attention.
So, Mrs. Eldridge. Thank you, for being wise beyond your years, for being literary savvy (is that a word?), being the first to have a true obsession for an author which lead you to ditch class, track down Diana Gabaldon at a book signing and then reading every one o her Outlander Series books as they have been released. And now there is a new soon to be released final book in the series, and Amanda I will read books five and six to stay caught up with all the Highland goodness.
Thanks, Mrs. Eldridge
